Beesly-Victory

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006
After you make it through a year successfully, Beesly is sure to be promoted to another great job in the hive! Well… at least one that’s better than his current one. This is the victory music that plays in the background.

Beesly-Winter

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006
Paul Marino once again hops on the piano keyboard and places a piano song fit for a cold, clear winter day. This is the last season before spring comes again, and the player has to conserve their remaining honeycomb tiles to spell words. With the flowers of spring though, a new bounty of letters will rain down!
You can hear all the music in the game in the free demo at www.flashbangstudios.com

Beesly-Autumn

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006
Paul came up with a lot of really interesting ideas for this song, including some synchopation and harp sounds. It took us about four hous to make, I offered a few hints and ideas for percussion and a few other ideas, but this is basically Paul’s song. The cool sounds remind me of a foggy gray leave, as a cold rain comes down and leaves blow away.

Beesly - Summer

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006
In the fine tradition of Aaron Copland, this song has a certain all-american sound to it. As the green grass and flowers of summer provide food for the hard-working bees, strings and brass play a rousing chorus. Thi song was also mad at Xeojax Production Studios using all virtual intstruments, but has a nice live orchestra sound. Beesly’s Buzzwords was nominated for audio innovation at the Independent Games Festival. (www.igf.com)

Beesly-Spring

This song was made by Paul Marino. He took piano lessons for years and years and has a knack for composing and improvising pleasing tunes on the piano.

Beesly-Title

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006
This is the rollicking Beesly Title Theme. We made this at Xeojax Studios (www.xeojax.com) in one 12 hour stretch. Paul Marino, Matt Johnson, Jon Sack and myself were all there. It’s basically a waltz that takes the hive through good times in summer and a bit of colder winter- then back to spring again! My brother had this on his cell phone as the ring tone for a long time. Whenever anyone would play the game, everyone thought he had an incoming call. Probably my favorite Beesly Song.
